Healthy Surprise Can Help You Eat Healthfully in 2014. Plus a Giveaway!

I was recently given an opportunity to try out and review Healthy Surprise subscription snack box. What excited me the most when I checked out the website, was that all off the Healthy Surprise snacks were vegan, gluten free, soy free, corn free, wheat free, and all natural. I am a big snacker, and if I don’t have healthy snacks at hand when the urge strikes I tend to grab a handful of corn chips, or other not so healthy treat.

When my package arrived I really was surprised at all the healthy treats that were included in the box. I had ordered the Healthy Box, which is the mid-sized box that Healthy Surprise offers. It contains about 16+ full size snacks, and can serve 1-4.

Healthy Surprise - Vegan

Healthy Surprise - VeganOne of the first things I noticed when I opened the box was a nice introduction to the products.  There was a brochure with all the nutritional information, several recipes, plus a welcome letter describing all the goodness inside the Healthy Surprise Box.

Healthy Surprise - VeganWhile snacks foods always should be eaten in moderation, I loved knowing that all of the snacks were plant-based. Likewise, those who follow a gluten-free diet can also snack with confidence.

My snack preferences are usually salty and Healthy Surprise had me covered.  My box included Bean and Rice Chips, candied pistachios (salty and sweet!), Kale Joy Mesquite kale chips, and Harvest Roast Garlic and Herb pumpkin seeds. I will say, these were my favorites.

Healthy Surprise - VeganMy box included a lot of fruit products. From bars, to gels, to fruit chips, I enjoyed every single snack. I would toss them in with my work lunch and know I was covered if I needed something to snack on mid-morning.

Healthy Surprise - VeganI don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but I loved the choices in the Healthy Surprise Box.

Healthy Surprise - VeganBoth the Maca Bar and the Coco Roons were raw, not overly sweet, and delicious. In the top row of this photo are the only two items I wasn’t crazy about. The dried carrots with paprika, and the roasted seaweed weren’t my favorites, but that is just me.

I really loved my Healthy Surprise box. There are a lot of snack boxes available, and most are very good. For me, what makes Healthy Surprise special is that each item is vegan. I didn’t have to scour the label to look for hidden ingredients. That is really important to me and makes Healthy Surprise stand above the rest.

Healthy Surprise is available as a monthly subscription or as a one-time purchase. It makes a great gift, so if you know someone who is embarking on a healthier lifestyle, they would love the treats in Healthy Surprise. There are three sizes. The Starter Box is $33 per month. The Healthy Box, which I received, is $55 per month, and the super duper large combo box, which has 27+ full sized snacks is $95 a month. There is a premium for ordering a single month, either for yourself or for a gift.

I thought the price was a little high (the only downside in my opinion, but realizing that you are receiving a large package of healthy snacks, that will keep you from gobbling up junk food, makes the price seem like a bargain.

I’m a chip junkie, but I’m like you and look for corn/potato alternatives. Looks like the Healthy box could introduce me to some good stuff!

Wow, this is fantastic! I love that it’s all vegan snacks. The price is a bit steep but I agree with you in that you are getting your money’s worth with a good mix of sweet and salty goodness. I just might have to order myself a gift box!

I loved seeing the wide variety of choices in the Healthy Surprise Snack Box and I think it’s awesome that they also sent a pamphlet detailing all of the nutritional information. Sounds like a great snack box for giving you healthy choices on the go!

I crave sweet over salty but I’ve made little steps to cut out extra sugar (like not adding sugar to coffee). The Fig Almond Bar looks right up my alley as a product I’d enjoy.

I am definitely a sweet snacker! I usually like chocolate, but the Coco-Roons look divine! Thanks for the chance to win!

I actually like the combo of salty and sweet. The Sensible Foods dried fruit is what makes my mouth water the most.

I like the tasty mixture of savory and sweet! Although almost all of the above look mouthwatering, I would have to say the Cocoroons look AMAZING!
