Weekly Reader: More Wisdom from the Web

Have you ever read a great book, seen an inspiring movie, or heard a great joke, and thought, “I’ve got to share that!” Of course you have! Here are a few things from my Reader in the last week (or two) that inspired and motivated me, made me happy, sad, and angry, made my stomach growl, and made me laugh.

If that look from the coach won’t inspire you, I don’t know what will.

With a week to go until Thanksgiving (and the Turkey Trot), I thought I’d share some great recipes and tips for vegans during the holiday. Since I tend to keep it simple and just veganize the basics like stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and serve them alongside roasted Tofurky, I needed to find some inspiration from other bloggers who are much more creative than I.

Don’t worry, it’s not all about food this week (though that’s not necessarily a bad thing).  There were lots of great fitness, blogging, and inspirational posts to share.

This is my sneaky way to comment on your adoption post. I too am adopted, and I have tears in my eyes as I remember similar conversations with my mom of my own adoption story. I wish she were here so she could tell me one more time.

I just really needed to say that and thank you :-)

Hurray for the new dog! So exciting to bring home a puppy.

Ugh–I want to read the WNBA piece and yet I don’t. Like you said, it’s 2013! I recently watched an ESPN piece on women’s sports and it talked about how the WNBA doesn’t grow b/c it’s not a “sexy” sport. Depressing.

Great roundup–looking forward to reading lots of those blogging tips.
