      Thanks! I used to be even crazier with my get out and run time (like start running by 4:30 so I could run 12 miles before work crazy). So 5:30 almost seems late by comparison. Oh, and when I was driving to work this morning at 5:30, it was already 77 degrees. And it’s still May. Gotta do what you gotta do.

    What a great goal! I am doing my 3rd half, in two weeks, and was hoping to beat my last time of 2:04, but my pace on my 10-mile run I did yesterday was the slowest pace I’ve ever run. It was kind of discouraging, but I’m hoping that race-day will speed me up. Really, I’ll be happy just finishing, since it’ll be my first half in Hawaii, and I haven’t done one in 2 years!
    I love that you run with your pup for parts of your run! My pup (9 year old lady) does NOT enjoying running. She’s more of a short-distance-sprinter. Any time I’ve tried to take her for a run, she lags behind me and pretends to pee every 5 minutes.
    I can’t wait to hear how your half goes! Did you ever decide what costume you were going to wear?

      Good luck in your half! Think of your bad 10 mile run as a dress rehearsal. You know what they say, bad dress rehearsal, good performance :-)

      I’m pretty sure I’m going to be a Dalmatian (appropriate no?), possibly the Roadrunner Sports Shoe Dog Dalmatian, with colored spots instead of black. I’m doing the summer version, so I’ll start with white shorts/skirt, and top and add spots, then ears, a tail, and a collar. Maybe a nose, because my Dalmatian has the most beautiful nose, if I can do it without inhibiting my breathing.

    Way to stick with it! I can’t even imagine 79 degrees right now. We had gross humidity on Saturday – just a taste of what’s to come this summer! Btw – love the pic of you and Penny! :)
