Weekly Reader: A Week of Super Inspiration

Have you ever read a great book, seen an inspiring movie, or heard a great joke, and thought, “I’ve got to share that!” Of course you have! Here are a few things from my Reader in the last week that inspired and motivated me, made me happy, sad, and angry, made my stomach growl, and made me laugh.

week1 2 300x225 Weekly Reader: A Week of Super Inspiration

I find it inspiring that I have such wonderful runs with my husband and my dog.

Running and Fitness Inspiration

Fitfluential, Drenched 5k 2013. Have you seen this race series? No mud, no obstacles, just good wet fun in the middle of the summer. I’m in!

Love, Life, Surf, What Color are Your Capris? Do you worry about what you look like at the gym? Then Christine’s post is for you.

Tri-ing to Be Athletic, Kyle’s Krusade Virtual 10k. I am also signed up for Kyle’s Krusade (better get going on that!), but Julie tells it the best.

A Veteran Runnah, Hypothermia – It is No Joke. I know from (Alan’s) experience that hypothermia can be dangerous. If you train in the cold, you need to read this.

Vegan Inspiration

Fragrant Vanilla Cake, Raw Banana Tiramisu. I don’t have a lot to say, except “Yum!” If you haven’t checked you Amy’s site, you Must. Do. So. Now!

The Naked Kitchen, Raw Strawberry Chocolate Mini Tarts. Another raw dessert from Sarah. I haven’t tried this, but it looks amazing.

The Vegan RD, Staying Strong on a Vegan Diet: Protein and Muscles. A great post from Ginny Messina, co-author of Vegan for Life, helping you get the protein you need.

Fit & Forty Something, Vegan Banana Bread. Mmm, I love banana bread, and Kalli’s recipe looks delicious and pretty easy.

Blogging Inspiration

Pushing Social, Top Tips for Creating a Successful Vlog–Video Blog. I know that many bloggers are creating vlogs. Guest poster Emma-Julie Fox teaches you how to do it right.

Katy Widrick, 28-Day Blog Challenge. I’m giving Katy’s challenge a second push because I think it is a great way to take some steps to improve your blog. It’s not too late to get started!

Healthy Living Blogs, Savvy Blog Talk: Photo Editing. Here you will find lot’s of great tips to make your photos look better. Something we all want, right?

The Sits Girls, Does Google Read Your Blog? I found this post (and added the Sits Girls to my Reader) right before I completed writing this post. I thought I had submitted a sitemap, but I don’t like the way my site shows up in Google, so I’m going to follow up on this soon.

Just Inspirational

The Girlie Girl Army, 10 Things You Think You Need For Your Baby, But You Don’t. I guess I noticed this because I am a new grandma. I have said so many times in the last few years that it seems like kids have so much stuff. Maybe there are some things that they don’t need.

One Speed Go, When Dreams Are Worthy. I just loved John’s pictures of these sculptures/fountains and I wanted to share. Very cool.

The Blog of Bruce Bradley, Weight Loss Carpetbaggers. Bruce tells it like it is in the food industry, this time taking on “Leanwashing” by Kelloggs.

Weighty Matters, Baby Laughing Harder Than You’ve Ever Laughed in Your Life. Yoni has an awesome blog, informing his readers about important health issues. In spite of that, I chose this, his Friday Funnies post two weeks in a row because, well because it makes me laugh almost as much as this baby.

That is the awesome list for this week! Do you have something you’d like to share. A post that you are proud of? Please link it up in the comments!
