Here’s what I’ve been doing for the last few days. Not too many words necessary, though in a ‘life isn’t fair’ experience, I caught my first cold in over a year. So, in my fashionable blue mask I couldn’t kiss my new grandson. Or smell him. But I did get to hold him. A lot. For which I am grateful and thrilled. Okay, the rest in pictures.
If you’re curious and not a recent parent, what my son is doing with the purple glove is called glove feeding. Along side his finger is a slim tube with formula that Samuel ingests as he sucks on my son’s finger. It is a way of supplementing his calories until Sarah’s milk comes in. Samuel lost a little more weight than they like while still in the hospital. Other than that, though, he’s doing great. I love that it gives my son the feeding and bonding experience right now too.
So, hopefully back to more normal posting now. Yeah, I know, promises, promises. Thanks for sticking by me.

Congrats!! So adorable! We had to do glove feeding with my twins when they were first born. It worked great till my milk came in and my hubs got to bond more with the babies. Enjoy every minute grandma!

YEA grandma! Congrats. I remember last January when my stepdaughter had Isabella, our granddaughter. I can’t believe she’s turning one next month. They grow so fast!
