It’s Las Vegas, Baby

I’ll be leaving in a few minutes to head to Las Vegas for a couple days! It is work related, my company is have a Fitness and Wellness Roundtable. The meeting will be held at two of the properties that we manage in Vegas. I’ll be busy, but I do plan on keeping up with Wednesday Workout, which will be “The Las Vegas Strip Workout.” If that intrigues you, you’ll have to check back tomorrow.

Several things that I’m looking forward to in Vegas:

We’re staying at the Paris Las Vegas. I haven’t been to the real Paris for about 10 years, so I’ll get my kicks looking out the windows at the mini versions of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.

I’m driving with a coworker (actually the woman who hired me originally for my current job so I love her). We don’t get together a lot so I’m excited we’ll have a great chance to catch up.

Even better, we’re stopping just outside of Vegas (at one of our properties) on the way in to each get a massage! Hot stone, 80 minutes, can’t wait.

Running on the strip. Usually I’m a concrete hater, but running on the Las Vegas strip is, well, unique. No one sees Vegas early in the morning, unless they’re dragging home from the night before, and that’s what makes the run fun. You’ve got to go early, though.

For my run on the strip tomorrow, I’ll be trying out Energy Bits for the first time (review will come later). And, I’ll be wearing my new Sweat Pink tank. Double win!

I’m looking forward to the Roundtable. I’ll be seeing some fitness directors that I  haven’t seen in a while, meeting a few more, plus the meeting organizer is another Fitfluential Ambassador, Dr. Darian Parker.

Finding vegan food. The last time I was in Vegas, I ate at the Mint Indian Bistro and it was awesome, so maybe I’ll try that again. Also the Wynn has vegan options in each of their restaurants. And, after putting the question out on twitter yesterday, I was told that Ronald’s Donuts has an out of this world apple fritter. Must. Try. That.

So, I’m off. I’m sure that I’ll find other things to do in Vegas besides the above, and because I’m a blogger, none of it will actually stay in Vegas.

So, what is your favorite thing to do in Vegas? No, not that! Something I can print ;-)

  1. I have been to Vegas twice and the highlight for me was in my second trip (the first time I was only 18 and not allowed in the casinos/couldn’t drink etc.) when I went and saw a Cirque du Soleil show! It was incredible! We got great seats for a super low price from one of those street vendors! Best experience ever!
