Have you ever read a great book, seen an inspiring movie, or heard a great joke, and thought, “I’ve got to share that!” Of course you have! Here are a few things from my Reader in the last week that inspired and motivated me, made me happy, sad, and angry, made my stomach growl, and made me laugh.
My Favorite Post This Week: MizFit guest posting on Pavement Runner, Thank You Therapy or How to Take a Compliment. This was from Miz Fit’s archives but is a must read for anyone who needs help accepting the accolades for which they are due.
Best Recipe: Healthy, Happy Life, Spicy Peanut Tofu Rice Salad + Swirl of Avocado. Kathy has so many delicious recipes on her site that it would be difficult to pick just one. Fortunately, I just had to pick from the last seven days. This sounds amazing.
Best Recipe based on an Old Memory: Carrie On Vegan, Bob’s Big Boy Roquefort Dressing – Veganized. Carrie has a great blog, full of healthy vegan recipes made with whole foods with no added oils, salt or sugar. So why did I pick this particular recipe? She posted it this week just a couple days after I wrote about my lousy eating habits when I worked at Bob’s Big Boy years ago. I used to dip my french fries is their dressing and I can’t wait to try making this vegan version (and yes, I’ll probably have to make fries to go with it).
Funniest: Banana Buzzbomb, You Don’t See This in Ohio. While this post isn’t funny like a joke, Heidi always makes me smile with her excitement and enthusiasm with life. Here she is vlogging about the desert beauty in Phoenix, where she moved (from Ohio) recently.
Most Inspirational: Katy Widrick, Blogging for Good: American Heart Association. In her post, Katy talks about a local Florida program that bloggers participate in to bring awareness to various causes. I think that it is a wonderful idea that could work nationwide.
Best Discussion: For the Love of Kale, USDA Says No to Meatless Mondays. While I usually head over to Heather’s blog for delicious vegan recipes, I picked this post because she got a pretty good discussion going in the comment section. Go ahead, read the post and then join the discussion!
New to my Reader: Simple. Green. Organic. Happy, The Zen of Happiness. Robin’s post could also qualify as most inspirational. Read it. It’s beautiful. And it will make you smile.
That’s my list. What were the favorites from your Reader this week?
