June 30 (today) is Vegan Pizza Day. While I do have options here in the desert (ZPizza in Palm Desert, about 20 minutes away has a vegan pizza), I decided to make my own tonight to celebrate.
For toppings, I decided to split the pizza in half. I chose potato, garlic and rosemary for one half, and mushroom, caramelized onion, and garlic for the other. I had some Daiya vegan cheese to top off both sides. I will admit, I purchased the pizza crust and sauce from Trader Joes, but everything else was from scratch.
It was delicious (if I do say so myself). Happy Vegan Pizza Day!
